23 inches (28 inches with the cross)

This Russian Orthodox cross (cast brass), circa 1780-1840, was found near Moscow.
The chain is vermeil beads and glass made from ancient Roman pottery, 1800BC-
350BC, dug up by farmers in their fields in Balkh, also known as Bactria, one of
the world's oldest cities in present-day northern Afghanistan.
